At the time of writing, I am just out of my most successful launch to date. My team and I closed the doors to The Freedom Experience and managed to take over £600,000. Now, that number is insane to me. It’s more than double my second most successful launch, and a hell...
When was the last time you felt disappointed?
I might presume that because you clicked on this blog post, you’ve experienced some kind of disappointment some time recently? It could be in business, or it could be that a friend, or family member let you down. Let’s face it – it happens all the time, right?
I wrote a blog post on how to deal with disappointment years ago, and I’m often reminded of it by Facebook, so I thought it would be great to give an update, and tell you how my process for dealing with disappointment has evolved.
I personally find this process super, super powerful – and I hope you will too!
At the time of writing, the doors to The Freedom Experience have closed, and the launch came to £530. Yep – over half a million pounds. Now, trust me, that is as mind blowing for me as it is for you.
Especially when I think back to last year when Jerome, the kids and I moved to Mexico. At that time I had just done a launch that came in at 30k. And don’t get me wrong – that’s a great launch, but considering my previous one was around 80k, and we had just moved to a new home in a new country, I was hoping for more.
As you may know, I am on track to hit 7 figures this year. Somehow, during 2020, the year where we had a global pandemic come out of nowhere… I’ll have managed to make more than double what I did last year. Want to know how I did it?
Here’s the thing. I know that everybody doesn’t feel 100% all of the freaking time.
I know that.
I, myself, had a particularly bad week last week, when I was feeling all the stress of moving to a brand new country and looking for a home, all on top of running my entire business and being a good wife, and even better mother, and looking after the dog.
I have been in the online business game for over 6 years now, so I’ve been acquainted with lots of other coaches, experts and entrepreneurs.
I’ve seen people start out at a similar time to me who’ve remained playing at a similar level, and others I’ve seen make huge jumps in their businesses – both in the amount of income they’ve been able to take, AND the amount of impact they’ve been able to make.
I want to talk to you today about my No.1 secret to uplevelling your business. And the secret is letting go.
I know this sounds like a huge contraction, but hear me out…
If you’re anything like me you will have felt the shift that 2020 has brought. We’ve gone through a global pandemic, followed by a number of human rights movements, and I know that it is not over yet. This year is calling us to step up.
Unless you just happen to have stumbled on my blog and this is the first post you’ve read, you’ll probably know by now that the time my family and I spent living in Puerto Escondido in Mexico absolutely changed our lives. And I was reflecting on this to my husband Jerome recently, and we discussed how we actually bought the flight out to Mexico on a credit card, and then for the return flight – 16 months later – all five of us and the dog flew in business class. And that was such a powerful reflection for me.
