Why Your Breakthrough Isn’t Enough: The Hidden Phase of Transformation Aspiring Coaches Must Understand

You had the breakthrough. The moment of clarity that made your whole body light up.

The rush of “yes, THIS is who I am.”

Maybe it was during a breathwork session.
Maybe it was during a hard conversation.
Maybe it was in your car, crying, whispering to the universe, “I’m done playing small.”

And then…

Life.
Overwhelm.
Patterns.
Your inner saboteur.
The old identity, whispering, “That was cute—but come back where it’s safe.”

Here’s the truth I need you to hear with your whole heart:

The breakthrough is not the transformation.
It’s the invitation to transform.
The real change happens after—in the integration, the embodiment, the nervous-system rewiring that allows the shift to stick.

This is what we don’t talk about enough in the coaching industry.
And if you’re a new or aspiring coach—especially one called to this work from a place of purpose and heart—you
must understand this if you want to truly create results for yourself and your clients.

Let’s break it down.

Why Breakthroughs Feel Good (But Don’t Last)

Breakthroughs give you dopamine.
They make you feel alive, powerful, awake.
That’s why we chase them. That’s why people bounce from coach to coach, retreat to retreat, hoping for another one.

But the problem is this:
Your nervous system doesn’t care about your clarity.
It cares about your safety.

So unless the version of you who had the breakthrough also learns how to feel safe with the new identity, you’ll unconsciously crawl back to what feels familiar—even if it hurts.

This is why so many brilliant women—women who are meant to coach, lead, and serve—keep getting stuck at the start line.

They’ve seen what’s possible, but they haven’t integrated it.

Integration Is the New Manifestation

Let me tell you something that might blow your mind:

The more regulated your nervous system is, the more you can receive.

That includes clients.
Money.
Visibility.
And the identity of being a coach who changes lives.

So if you’re doing all the “things”—the journaling, the affirmations, the content strategy—but still feeling blocked?

It’s not your strategy.
It’s your embodiment.

Integration is what bridges the gap between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming.

This is the moment when you:

  • Practice what you preach in private
  • Make new decisions from the version of you who already has what she wants
  • Regulate the discomfort of growth so you don’t sabotage the expansion
  • Get support—not because you’re weak, but because you’re no longer willing to do it all alone

And this is where real coaches are born.

What Aspiring Coaches Need to Know About Transformation

If you’re just getting started in your coaching journey—or if you’re pivoting into a new level of visibility and leadership—understanding transformation is not optional. It’s essential.

Your clients aren’t coming to you for tips.
They’re coming to you for change.
And that means you need to be someone who lives the change.

So let me ask you:

  • Are you willing to move at the speed of safety, not urgency?
  • Are you building a business that honours your nervous system as much as your ambition?
  • Are you giving yourself permission to slow down so your transformation can land?

Because this is what separates cookie-cutter coaches from true facilitators of transformation.

Real Talk: What I’m Integrating Right Now

The week I recorded this episode, I was coming off the high of speaking at Mani-Fest and launching my charity, The FAM Foundation.

Two huge milestones.
Two massive moments of “I’m walking my path.”

But even then—even now—I felt the familiar voice creeping in:
“Is it safe to be this visible?”
“What if I can’t hold it?”
“What if it all goes away?”

And so, I had to pause.
Breathe.
Feel.
Re-ground.
Come back into my body and anchor into the truth:

You don’t need to earn your next level.
You just need to become the woman who can hold it.

This is the kind of work I do every day.
With myself.
With my clients.
And with the next generation of coaches who are ready to stop faking it and start facilitating real change.
