How do you keep on keeping on when things aren’t going to plan?

Take back control

There’s a lot going on in the world right now, and I know that each and every person is affected in some way or another – for many, many different reasons.

Whatever it is you’re struggling with at the moment, my lover – whether it’s not making as much money as you want, having to cancel plans, rejig your goals, or even just getting used to spending SO much time with your family – there are things you can do to take back control of the situation. You got this!

In today’s blog post, we’re going to go over how exactly to keep on keeping on when things aren’t going to plan.

Let’s do this thing!

  • Take responsibility

This is different than blaming or shaming (other people OR yourself!). It’s about asking yourself whether you had a part to play in what’s happening to you – FOR you – right now.

If you’ve lost a client, for example, was it because of the current climate (a.k.a. not your fault) or did you not show up in the way you should have? Did you miss any meetings? Did you show up late to any? Did you cut any corners? Make any mistakes?

On the other hand, if you aren’t attracting new clients – is there more you could be doing? Yes, it might be harder at this time – but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Are you putting yourself out there? Are you keeping consistent with your messaging? Are you showing up on social? Are you sending out emails? Are you running ads?

Take time to really nut out what it is that’s standing in your way, and if it’s you, think about what you can do to get the hell out of it. The only answer to problems is solutions, babe.

  1. Get back into alignment

Sometimes we don’t lose things. Sometimes they’re taken away from us by the universe because they weren’t ours to have in the first place.

Close your eyes, take three deep breaths and ask yourself this: was it a fit for me, or was I trying to make it fit?

Ask yourself what you really want and need. What you really deeply desire. Was the thing you lost in alignment with your vision and mission?

If yes – maybe the timing just wasn’t quite right given the current circumstances.

But if no – reconnect to vision and your mission, take a step back, a look inward and set some goals for the future that ARE in alignment.

  1. Focus on next steps

Take a moment to really plan out actionable steps that will solve the problem you’re in and get you to where you want to be. It’s tough right now to see what lies ahead – I get that. But this WILL pass, and when it does, you want to be in the best position possible.

If you want more on this topic, I speak about this on The Limitless Life Podcast, which you can listen to here.

I really hope this helps you while you’re navigating your way through this difficult time. Remember how freaking awesome you are and that you ARE strong (and badass) enough to get through this.
