What to do when shit hits the fan

When things get really hectic, it can be difficult to know what the best next step is.

But it’s important to re-centre and bring yourself back to empowerment to create that space to make the decision.

Here’s 8 steps to take to get yourself back on track:

 

1. Breathe and bring yourself back to the present moment.

When we are in chaos, or we’re stressed or anxious, it’s because we’re either worrying about what has happened or worrying about what we think might happen. And the first place that we get to bring ourselves back to empowerment is by being in the present moment. Take a deep breath in. Or two or three or for a few minutes, until you’re able to feel just even the smallest sense of expansion.

 

2. Knowing your part in the destruction you are in, and owning your crap.

Where are you in your shadow? And by shadow I mean fear, guilt, blame, frustration or anger about the situation that you are in, and being able to identify what part you are playing in this destruction. 

 

3. Remembering who you really are.

The classic self-development phrase, but it’s true. Most of us have forgotten who we really are so we are operating from our child victim archetype. I want you to remember, what you get to remember, is that you are a sovereign being and you are the source of your own power.

 

4. Claiming your sovereignty to change your frequency.

Breathe into your highest self, into your sovereignty, and the energy of that intention combined with the power of the breath, changes your frequency and what is emanating from you on a vibrational level. And from that space, you get to allow the fears (the shadow parts) to just fall away.

 

5. Ask yourself, what do I choose? Step into your power.

Take full responsibility in empowering yourself. Do you choose to continue the story that nobody will pay you for what you desire? Or the story that you are not good enough? That you need to build up more experience before you can charge what you really know that your package is worth? Obviously you’re not going to choose any of those things, but what do you desire?

 

6. Who do you need to be in order to create your reality?

Every single time a situation challenges you and you feel a contraction in your body, ask who do I need to be in this moment? And often you’re going to need to come back to the breath and create spaciousness where the contraction has held on.

 

7. What actions do you need to take to achieve this?

It’s always ‘faith plus action’ and for good reason. Energetically aligned action is always part of the equation. What actions are required for you to take?

 

8. Help somebody else just for the sake of helping.

The reason that this is so important is that when you are in the space of ‘how can I be of service, how can I be generous’, you start activating the give and receive cycle. I’m going to give not because I want to get anything, but because I know that when I give from a real place of pure intention, that I am activating receiving. Whereas when I am coming at it from a place of ‘what can I get’, and that’s the only thing that I’m thinking about, I’m blocking something energetically.
