I want to talk to you today about my No.1 secret to uplevelling your business. And the secret is letting go.

 

I know this sounds like a huge contraction, but hear me out…

 

As you know, every time you take a step back and let go of something, the Universe rewards you with more spaciousness and room for even better things. It’s no different here.

 

When your business is growing, you’ll come to find there are times when you hit a crossroads, where your only two options are to 1. Run yourself into the ground and burn out, or 2. Take away some of the responsibility from yourself in order to move from a space of ease, grace and flow.

 

This is something that comes up for me every time I’m ready to uplevel and step into a higher version of myself and my business: the need to give up control.

 

Every time I do, I am rewarded.

 

And so my invitation for you today is to consider what areas you need to release control in and where you might be able to streamline your services, or call in help. I guarantee that when you do, your life and business will be better for it.

 

This concept actually came to me after recording a podcast with Denise Duffield-Thomas where we spoke about the need to loosen the grip on our businesses. Denise offers some really valuable insights, so if you haven’t listened to that episode yet, you can do that here

 

But without further ado let’s get into exactly why I believe that letting go is the key to uplevelling your business:

 

You’ll empower your clients and your team

 

What you’re really saying when you refuse to ask for help, build a team, create more programs with less 1-1 coaching… is that nothing else and no one else is good enough. This is your ego talking. You’re saying that you can do allofthethings better than anyone else. This is not true. You can do some of the things better than everyone else – yes. Those are the things you should be focusing on. Everything else can be outsourced, and you have to trust that people can do their jobs effectively. And not only will you empower your team, you will empower your clients – who have paid a lot of money for your products and services – to take responsibility and accountability to get the best possible results, by not holding their hand every step of the way.

 

You’ll be choosing your mission over your ego

 

In letting go of the ego voice in your head that tells you that you need to do absolutely everything, you’ll be making a clear signal to the Universe that you know that this is not about you. Or at least not just about you. You’ll be committing to your wider vision and mission. Think about it… if you’re a coach who only offers 1-1 coaching and works 9-5 Monday to Friday, how many people can you really impact? Nowhere near as many as a coach who offers both 1-1, group coaching, online trainings and memberships, AND coaching that is led by someone else but following a specific framework that they have streamlined and perfected so that it gets results every time. If you want to make a significant impact, you are going to have to let go of the need to handle absolutely every task in order to be able to reach more people, it’s as simple as that.

 

You’ll more time and more money

 

In doing the above, you’ll realise that – actually – your time is incredibly valuable. When people are paying for your products and services WITHOUT any 1-1 time with you (because they are paying for the unique transformation that only your products and services can offer them), you’ll naturally begin to see your face-to-face work as being more premium. And this will show in your pricing. Your 1-1 rates will increase accordingly and you’ll make an income that matches the impact you are making.
