We always want to build momentum but if we have a low-income month, our mindset dips. The momentum crashes. We wobble. We don’t want to be forward-facing. We think, ‘People will pick up on my vibe’. We feel inauthentic, ‘I am the business coach without a business’.
So we disappear.
Because we worry that this is the last and only chance.
I know. It is really hard to switch off from this mindset, but you can! I have put together 5 things to do if you are having a lower-than-average income month.

Number 1 is going to be annoying if you are stressed about this right now, but I promise, as someone who has been there, this and the advice in the following points will work.
- Tune out the negative voice that says ‘I can’t’
The first thing you have to do is tune out the negative voice that says that you can’t do x. The voice that says ‘I told you you wouldn’t make it’.
YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO REFOCUS YOUR ATTENTION.
How do you do it?
Well, I have ‘Faith + Action = Miracles’. This is my mantra (as I am sure you know) and it is powerful, particularly the first word ‘faith’.
For me, it is a consistent invitation to believe that:
- I can have a 6-figure +++ launch
- I can have 100 women at a live event
- I can have consistent income months
- I can do it
This word ‘faith’ is the word that has kept me going over the past few years.
And I know it’s hard! In times of difficulty, in my times of strife, in my times of not believing, I have made sure I have said it every single day for 8 years.
Every time I write an email, every time I write an Instagram post, I write/say it.
So what do you need to do to redivert your attention?
Then do this again and again and again!
- Move your body
This is SO important. When your energy feels stagnant, get up and move your body. Go outside, dance, get the energy moving around. Shake that negative story out.
Choosing to laugh when you want to cry is really fucking powerful.
Choose to laugh, choose to have fun, choose to see things differently. When you start to step into this space, the creative juices start flowing.
- Stop making it about you
Ask yourself this question: ‘How can I be of service today?’
You have to really come at this from a place of not knowing, and not being attached to what you are going to get back. You can’t think ‘But where is it going to come from?’.
Just choose to show up and be of service.
You do this most effectively when you know who your people are and when you know what they need. Then you can go out and do something for your people. But also, this is an energy game, so even going out and being of service to your neighbour will be really powerful.
What this does is it shifts the focus from ‘I need, I want, I am in lack (I have no space/time/money to give!!)’ to being generous and being rich enough to give.
So how can you be of service today without requiring anything back in return?
The more value you put into the world, the more you can receive.
You may feel inspired by this but for some people this feels triggering because they feel like they are already giving so much and still getting nothing in return.
Guess what I am going to say?
You need to think about your boundaries – get really clear on them. You don’t need to give, give, give or feel you HAVE to give. Doing stuff out of obligation is not going to work for this. You need to get into the space of giving when you want to give. There can be no obligation here. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do. When you know that (and really take it on board), you can then choose how to show up and be of service because you want to and then things will flow.
What are the patterns of issues/problems that you see for those you serve? This is why you are doing what you do. You do not need to come up with a how-to or give-all-the-answers post every time. You can just tell them that they are not alone. Acknowledgement is still value.
I am not scared of giving too much because there will always be those who want support from me.
- Ask for the sale
So many people are not doing this. How many times have you asked for the sale today?
I want you to be asking for the sale 6 times a day. How do you do that?
- Get creative
Make sure you are using your platform. Use your personal page even. Have no shame. You know that you help people when people choose to invest in you, so tell people about it!

- business page
- personal page
- personal messaging
- Instagram stories
- Instagram feed
- direct messaging on Instagram
