How to get over a set back

Picture this: you were manifesting something great coming into your life and business, you were really feeling deep into it but it just hasn’t gone exactly as planned.   It’s easy to say just pick yourself up and dust yourself down after a knockback and get on with things.   But how do you DO that?   Before we get into it, I just want to say that if you are in this position right now, I feel you.   So…
  1. This too shall pass.
Another ‘easier said than done’ but you are smart enough to remind your brain of this. You know this is not how things are going to be for the rest of your life. These feelings around a setback won’t last forever and they are just that, feelings only. My advice is to take pleasure in knowing that one day you’ll look back and be amazed at what you got through.
  1. Reach out.
We all need help and support in our business and when you’ve hit a setback this is always the best time to do it. It’s a good idea to always have in mind a range of people around you that you can reach out to and say ‘help’, be it mentorship or friendship. When you find yourself taking a knockback, make the commitment to find and reach out to the people who you know can hold that space for you, who have got your back in business and who always see you at your highest. That is SO so powerful. You get a fresh perspective on things and you gain a new level of strength.
  1. It’s okay to just have ‘a moment’.
After all, we are all human. If something crappy is happening to you it’s normal and okay to feel down about it and feel blocked and feel like something’s wrong with you. I am here to remind you that there is nothing wrong with you, you’re having a moment and you can feel those feelings. It does not mean you’re holding yourself back from manifesting your wildest dreams. Just allow yourself to experience this but the minute you feel your emotions overwhelming you or you find yourself wallowing in your own self pity (me), know that you need to do some work on this.
  1. Zoom out.
Oh the power of the zoom is incredible. What is the bigger picture when it comes to why it’s important for you to get back on your feet? To view things differently and allow a new perspective to operate from? It could be the kids, the family, the bigger calling or vision and so on. Tune into this and sit with it for a moment.
  1. Be kind.
And finally, self care. Do something deliberately and intentionally nourishing that will expand your heart, comfort you and soothe you. The thing that completely uplifts you. When you nourish yourself, you create the space for healing. And when you give yourself that space and say I am ready to be healed, good things happen to you. Then you get a good night’s sleep, setting the intention that tomorrow you are going to feel a little bit better.   Setbacks can be really tough but we all go through them. Keep this blog saved and come back to it whenever you need to remind yourself what you need to do. I follow these steps myself as I am also human (just as a reminder to you, haha).   All my love,   Suzy x   PS. Come and join me at The One Live for a fresh take for your business in 2021
