Shift Your Focus

What was the first thing you thought about when you opened your eyes this morning?

Did you feel grateful and give thanks for waking up?

Or were you pissed that you’d woken up before the alarm went off?

Did you feel excited about the possibilities of the day ahead?

Or overwhelmed by your never-ending to-do list?

Did you know that in some way, shape or form you were going to come face to face with a miracle today?

Or are you hoping, wishing that something anything good will turn your fortunes around?

Look, this is the deal. Whether we like it or not how we think and feel determines our reality. What we are able to magnetize into our lives and also how we choose to perceive and deal with what is served up to us.

And depending on the perspective we have in any one moment we will automatically attract more of where our attention is drawn to.

What we focus on expands.

So if you’re worrying about your lack of clients, stop it. Look for evidence of abundance in your life and then take decisive action to attract more clients.

If you feel like your drowning in overwhelm, stop it. Think about the one thing that will make the biggest difference to your life today and make it your mission to achieve that. Even one step towards that one thing will be considered a success. You will feel more capable and it will become easier to take the next step.

If you’re pissed off at your husband, friend or sister for not appreciating all of the hard work and effort you have put into (insert the appropriate phrase) stop it. Not only are you seeing a mirror of some other aspect of your life where you are not displaying enough appreciation, but you will also be attracting more of the same lack into your life.

If you’re not ‘feeling it today’ choose to stop, drop and re-align – thank you Lana Shlafer for such a lovely turn of phrase. Focus on doing something that will remind you of how fortunate you are, how abundant you are, how open you are to receiving all the great things you desire.

Shift your focus from I can’t, it’s not, impossible, to I can, I am, I’m ready, it’s all good.

  • Thanks for this Suzy! This is something I’m really working on at the moment. Seeing the positive in life, acknowledging my fears and working through them to move forward and bring my dreams into reality.

    I also want to show my kids that we can be positive and appreciate life, from the smallest things and achievements to the biggest!

    I also want to show them that being brave is doing things even when we’re scared of what the outcome might be…
