5 must know launch lessons

The team and I have just come out of an incredibly expansive launch (even though it wasn’t our biggest one by any stretch of the imagination) so I wanted to share my top five launch lessons and what we did differently this time round.

1. Give yourself enough of a runway.

This is one of the most common mistakes that I see. Make sure that you are giving yourself enough of a lead up to your launch. We like to be marketing our masterclass or our coaching series around 21 days out, allowing one week for testing and then two weeks for scaling and ramping it up. And it does make a difference.

People put all their eggs in one basket when it comes to ads for example, then when they don’t have the numbers they desire, they’re like ah what do we do. They settle for not having the eyeballs that are going to be required if they’re still going to have a successful launch.

Move through that contraction quickly and get into the space of what are we going to do. Don’t just tolerate it, don’t dwell if things aren’t going right for you and manage your emotions so that they don’t get the better of you when you’re showing up in your business. So, so important.

2. Repeat your launches

I’ve said this many, many times but I swear it feels like coming home. It feels both really familiar but also new. Because even though the structure and the content may be “the same”, repeat launches feel fresh and new because you get to bring all of the experiences you have endured recently and bring it to the table.

Do not worry about people being bored or if somebody’s been through it before, them not wanting to sign up again. If you are giving really incredible value, people will show up because they want the energy from you and the kick up the bum. They want that fire lit within them and they want the insight and they know that you are going to bring it. So repeat, repeat, repeat your launches.

3. Detach yourself from the outcome.

This is challenging because a lot of people who experiment with this go too far to “I’m just going to see what happens, I’m not bothered.” The problem with that is, you still need to have a clear intention. Or they are so attached to the goal and to them succeeding that they strangle it. And there’s no spaciousness in there.

With that clear intention, notice if there’s anything around you that is suggesting that you’re not capable of receiving or that it’s not going to work for you. What are the stories you are telling yourself about why that’s not possible? Then what do you get to release and where do you get to create more spaciousness around the possibility of you receiving? Then you just get to show up.

You are not your business. You are not a bad person if you don’t hit your goals, you are not a great person if you do hit your goals, but we do want you to have a really clear intention.

4. There are people out there watching you that you are not aware of

These people are just waiting for the right word or the right signal from themselves (more often than from you) that tells them it’s time to jump in and get going.

Continue to show up in that energy of ‘whose lives am I going to change today?’ just by showing up and sharing your energy and your insights into where they are stuck and how they get to move forward. You will be attracting in your dreamboat clients. Never, ever, ever think that you’re wasting your time because you’re not getting the engagement or nobody’s commented.

5. When you refuse to give up, you can create magic.

I had two clients on the roller coaster of ‘is this the right offer? Is this my alignment? Is this what I should be doing?’

They both could have given up so many times, yet both of them were just rocking and rolling in the middle of their launch with sales and calls booked in. It’s not easy when you have a knock back and feel like it’s just not working for you. But they have proven without a shadow of a doubt, that not only what we do works, but when you refuse to give up, you can create magic.
